Line Drawings
I’ve done many commissions in pen (you can see examples in the Line Drawings section of Artworks).
Working from your photo or to a brief that you set, I can produce a beautiful line drawing, either with elegant simplicity or featuring a quirky section of detail. I’ve made over 2,000 pen drawings in the last 4 years and this experience means I can usually produce and deliver your commission pretty quickly.
I find that clients tend to commission something that is meaningful to them, be it a building, a pet or a snapshot of a special moment.
These line drawings have the special quality of being both contemporary and elegant and hang well pretty much anywhere.
Paintings
Explore the paintings in Artworks (and for works further back in my archive showcasing different styles and colour types, you can see many good examples on Instagram and Facebook). For a painting, I can help you to decide on the size, medium and colours. I will usually make a rough painted sketch to show you before embarking on the final piece, so that you can get an idea of how it will look. Commissioning a painting is a collaborative process and I love discussing clients’ ideas with them and bringing my many years’ experience to guide them. It’s part of my job to put you at your ease. This is a process that may take a few weeks but yields really good results.

Icons
I’ve learned the ancient technique of egg tempera painting, traditionally used to make religious icons. I’ve also used this medium to create small scale contemporary paintings. Please get in touch if you’d like to see examples of my works in this medium. It’s quite a niche technique and I’ve produced some beautiful pieces.
Installations and projects
Over the years, I’ve done some truly unusual commissions! From creating art installations for hospitals, portraits and street art to larger-than-life size recreations of paintings for photography studio backdrops - I like a challenge!
